Giants' Uniforms
With more that 80 years of being a football team the New York Giants have had many different uniforms and logos. From a giantfootball player, the word Giants, and many variations of the New York initials. Each time new logos were developed, the changes were applied to the uniforms and helmets with the basic color scheme of blue red white and gray being a constant.
As of the 2009 season the New York Giants wear solid blue jerseys with white block numbers, gray pants with red and blue stripes, and blue socks for home games.
When they go on the road the uniforms consist of white jerseys with red block numbering and northwest stripes on the sleeves, gray pants with red and blue striping and red socks.
The current helmet for the New York Giants is metallic blue with white numbers, red striping, the lowercase "ny" logo and a gray facemask.
The alternate or thirduniform used by the Giants features the solid red jersey similar to the one that the Giants used in the 1950s.
Winning Super Bowl XLII has put the New York Giants back in the spotlight in a way that the team has not seen in many years.
