2006 Jersey
Beginning in 2006 the Texans wear the white jersey with white pants for the home opening game, and all blue for home games against the Indianapolis Colts.
The alternate jersey for the Texans is red with blue trim. An additional pair of pants introduced in 2007 is red and usually paired with the red jersey.
Like other NFL teams in southern states the Texans traditionally wear they white jerseys at home for the first half of the season, this forces their opponents to wear dark jerseys in the hot Houston weather.
At the end of the 2008 season the Texans had an 8-8 record which tied their previous franchise record of wins in a season. Steve Slaton was drafted for the 2008 season and ended up leading all the rookies in the NFL with 1,282 rushing yards and 1,659 scrimmage yards. Also in 2008 three of the Texans team players was sent to the Pro Bowl; Andre Johnson, Mario Williams and Owen Daniels.
The Houston Texans are still a new team to the NFL and they have the potential to be a very successful team. All the other teams in the NFL didn't start out being top dog, it takes time to grow together as a team to work as a single entity and defeat opponents with regularity.
Houston fans are great and support their team by buying football jerseys of their favorite Texans players.
