The Buffalo Bills professional football team is based in Buffalo, New York. As members of the Eastern Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) of the NFL, the Bills sold out every game in the 2008 season. The Bills were a charter member of the AFL and joined the NFL in 1960 s part of the AFL-NFL merger. The Buffalo Bills won two consecutive AFL titles in 1964 and 1965 and are the only team to win 4 consecutive AFCCs. The team has not won a league championship since the merger and has lost all four Super Bowls that they appeared in following their winning the American Football Conference Championships. However, with 2 AFL Championships, 4 AFC Championships, 10 Division Championships and 17 Playoff Appearances, this team is well respected by its fans. New York fans are aggressive and loud and love to support their team at every home game. This is made easier in part by the fact that the Bills are the only New York NFL team that actually plays home games within the state of New York. Both the Jets and Giants play their home games in New Jersey.

Jersey, Uniform, Colors

The team's original colors were royal blue, white and silver back in 1960. The standing red bison became the team logo in 1962 when the team's colors changed to red, white and blue. These colors remain today. The logo however, was changed in 1974 to a blue charging bison with a red slanting stripe steaming from its horn. In 2002, a new uniform design was implemented. The white uniforms now include a red stripe on the sides with a scarlet red helmet that include one navy blue, two royal blue, two nickel and two white stripes. The team usually wears all blue at home and all white while on the road. With Coach Dick Jauron the Bills have been continuing this tradition and have not worn the blue on white or white on blue uniforms since 2006 and 2007 consecutively.

The Buffalo Bills are known as the All American Team. They display their colors proudly and since adopting them have never varied from the three colors of red, white and blue. Designs have changed to keep with current trends, but the spirit remains the same. New York and fans all across the country are eagerly awaiting the 2009 season to see what the Buffalo Bills have in store.
